Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, high quality meals in line with education and healthcare catering standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen legislation at all times
  • Cater for dietary requirements, allergies, and nutritional guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
  • Support with menu planning, stock rotation, and waste control
  • Assist with service delivery during peak mealtimes in busy environments
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Chef (CDP, Sous Chef, or similar) – ESSENTIAL
  • Experience within schools, care homes, hospitals, or contract catering is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of nutritional standards and special dietary needs
  • Level 2 Food Safety (minimum) or willingness to obtain it
  • Enhanced DBS – ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work efficiently in structured, compliance-driven kitchens
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential
