HSE Recruitment is seeking a Senior HSE Officer to join a British manufacturing firm, overseeing safety for construction and installation projects.
Based in West Sussex, this full-time role offers £50,000 to £60,000 per annum.
The position is largely remote, covering sites across the UK, with roughly three days weekly spent travelling—primarily in London and the South—two days working from home, and occasional visits to Yorkshire headquarters.

HSE Recruitment are working with a British Manufacturing company who are looking for a Senior Safety, Health and Environment Officer to lead on the construction and installation side of the business.
Overview of the role
The role will predominantly cover sites in London and the South (around 80% of the time) but will capture construction sites across the UK.
As such this will be a remote role, with around 3 days a week travelling, 2 days at home and occasional travel to the Head Quarters in Yorkshire.
We are seeking an experienced SHE professional to support employees installing products into new housing developments.
- You will
- Carry out construction site specific risk assessments, site inspections, audits and task analysis then generate site specific RAMS in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Site Management to ensure the safe delivery and installation of the product onto/into site.
- Ensure all working practices undertaken by employees and third-party contractors are safe and comply with current legislation through the provision of HSE advice and appropriate and accurate documentation.
- Ensure training is up to date, conduct tool box talks or arrange for external training.
- The recording of incidents and accidents to produce statistical data monthly ensuring a timely submission to all relevant management.
- Produce management reports - including weekly and daily updates as required.
- What we are looking for
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum.
- A regional HSE role in a similar customer facing H&S role.
- Professional, credible and confident SHE professional who is visible on site, approachable and able to build genuine and trusted relationships.
- Able to hold their own, get stuck in if needed and who is firm when needed but in the right way.
- Tenacious and persistent to get the time with the relevant teams on site.
Salary is up to £60,000 + car allowance + package.
