The individual in this role will be the Business Unit Subject Matter Expert (SME) in planning and scheduling processes or disciplines, serving as the functional expert. They will oversee all aspects of process implementation across the discipline and coach users at various levels to meet standards of their expertise.

They will possess expert knowledge in planning and scheduling practices, capable of adapting, applying, and developing these practices in different circumstances, while guiding others in their application.

Typical duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring the health and safety of all employees and compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Being an expert in advanced project reporting and scheduling.
  • Undertaking advanced problem solving based on experience.
  • Having expert knowledge of business processes, procedures, and planning/scheduling toolsets.
  • Leading planning and scheduling processes for the business unit, delivering best practices across the enterprise.
  • Managing planning and scheduling throughout the project lifecycle to meet customer needs and achieve benefits, acting as the key stakeholder and coaching others.
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing risks, applying appropriate methods and tools, and preparing realistic plans.

  • Expertise in planning and scheduling policies, processes, procedures, and systems.

  • Understanding of the business environment and ability to implement beneficial changes.
  • Experience with PM governance and assurance processes like IBRs.
  • Stakeholder influence skills both internally and externally.
