Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Warrington, Manchester (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Rate: £63 – £81/hr (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC
Projects You’ll Support
- Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and overseeing delivery of complex mechanical design solutions.
- Producing, reviewing and approving engineering deliverables including calculations, design specifications, reports and technical assessments.
- Ensuring engineering work meets regulatory expectations, safety standards and project requirements.
- Mentoring engineers and promoting high standards of technical performance and safety culture.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/MEng)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Strong background as a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer within a highly regulated industry (nuclear, defence, marine, oil & gas, heavy industrial, etc.).
- Eligible for SC clearance (must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years)
