Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Principal Engineer – Systems & Transversal, to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly working from home, onsite once a quarter) on a 12 month contract. The Role In order to deliver the MoD's submarine and warship support requirements, a significant programme of infrastructure investment is required at Devonport. The 'Major Infrastructure Projects' (MIP) Business Unit was established to deliver this. This post is for part of the team delivering updates to existing design substantiation dating back many years, as well as drawing together substantiation for the new infrastructure. As a Principal Engineer – Systems & Transversal, your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to: Provision of delivery of Design Substantiation Reports (DSR) updates through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience. Carry out analysis of existing concrete structures to ensure that they continue to meet specified safety functional requirements.
