Teach South seeks Primary Supply Teachers in Eastbourne to cover ad-hoc days across partner schools in the town and nearby Hailsham.

This part-time, temporary position offers flexible hours, with pay between £130 and £150 daily.

Staff choose their own availability, from one day weekly to five, covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes.

Assignments arrive either booked ahead, the previous evening, or on the morning itself.

Applicants need QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, plus confidence working across both key stages.

Suitability for stepping into a class at short notice matters greatly.

Two academy trusts supply steady demand, giving teachers genuine influence over which schools they attend and when.

Primary Supply Teachers - Eastbourne & Hailsham Day-to-day supply | Part-time and full-time availability | KS1 & KS2

We're recruiting primary supply teachers to cover ad-hoc days across our partner schools in Eastbourne and Hailsham.

We work directly with two academy trusts in the area, which means consistent demand, familiar schools and a real say in where and when you work.

The role

You’ll be covering day-to-day supply across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Some days are booked in advance, others come in the night before or first thing in the morning.

You choose the days you make yourself available, whether that's one day a week or five.

  • Who we're looking for
  • QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Confident teaching across both KS1 and KS2, and happy to pick up a class at short notice
  • Good behaviour management and the ability to follow a planned lesson or adapt on the spot
  • An enhanced child workforce DBS (ideally on the Update Service) or willingness to apply for one
  • Two professional references covering your recent work with children
  • Early Career Teachers and returners are welcome to apply. Supply is a good way back into the classroom.
