Pipefitter - Naval Shipbuilding (Govan) We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join a leading shipbuilding programme based at a major shipyard in Govan, working on the construction and outfitting of advanced naval vessels.
Key Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble and install pipework systems onboard naval ships.
Interpret and work from fabrication and installation drawings.
Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
Adhere to all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) regulations and procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets.
Support the resolution of shop-floor issues and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Deliver work safely, efficiently and to agreed schedules.
Requirements Proven experience as a Pipefitter within shipbuilding, marine, heavy engineering or a similar industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of safe working practices, including risk awareness.
Excellent practical assembly and fabrication skills.
Reliable team player with good communication skills.
Relevant trade qualifications or trade papers.
Current safety certifications (e. g.
SHE induction, COSHH awareness, Working at Height) are advantageous.
