Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Pipe Fabricator full time onsite in Barrow. Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Pipe Fabricator to add to their talented, hardworking team in Rochester on a 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.

Rate: £25.94 per hour inside / Umbrella (local) £25.94 + £10.47 per hour inside / Umbrella (non local)

The role:

  • Work safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Follow the relevant instructions, drawings and any other Quality Standards/Specifications.
  • Use the appropriate methods and techniques to fabricate, assemble, install pipe and maintain work systems and associated components.
  • Check the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required Quality Standards/Specification.
  • Use associated tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Reading / understanding technical drawings
  • Working to Datum
  • Working to imperial measurements
  • Aware of Dreadnought cleanliness and material segregation requirements
  • Understanding of shock clearance requirements
  • Understanding of ripout process and procedures
  • Test path walking
  • Cutting and Preparation of Non Target Material Pipe work
  • Small bore manufacture/Installation
  • Large bore manufacture/Installation
  • EB inserts

Qualifications:

  • Served and Approved Apprenticeship (In relevant trade)
  • NVQ Level 3 Equivalent Qualification (In relevant subject)
