12 Month Contract Outside IR35 UK Wide - Hybrid / Site Based
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage delivery of high-voltage substation and transmission projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams.
- Act as main contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Track programme, costs, risks, and changes.
- Support planning, reporting, and project execution activities.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support design reviews and construction planning.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Support project close-out and handover.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Engineering or similar field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years' experience in transmission, utilities, or power infrastructure.
- Experience delivering HV substation or EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of UK power networks and substations.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project delivery.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety requirements.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Competent with Microsoft Office tools.
- Willing to travel across the UK.
DESIRABLE:
- Experience with National Grid or UK DNO projects.
- Experience at 132kV-400kV level.
- NEC contract awareness.
- Professional membership (APM, IET, ICE) preferred.
