What you''ll be doing

  • Lead the design and integration of avionic systems to meet customer needs and certification standards.
  • Translate concepts into detailed, compliant designs aligned with OEM Type Certificates.
  • Manage all avionic activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Capture and interpret customer requirements, providing guidance to optimise design and production.
  • Apply Systems Engineering practices, tools, and methods throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support risk management, testing, and certification processes, including ground and flight testing.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain technical competency and stay updated with latest technology developments.

What you''ll bring

  • A strong aviation background specialising in avionics Solid knowledge of aircraft systems, software safety analysis, and certification standards (FAR/CS 27 andamp; 29, EASA/CAA Part-21J).
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD and other electrical/harness design tools.
  • Experience with design lifecycle management and configuration control.
  • An engineering degree or equivalent, with ongoing professional accreditation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Eligibility for SC security clearance and the right to work in the UK.
