This highly respected law firm is seeking a confident and commercially minded immigration professional with a legal qualification, strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills and a client following. The successful candidate will advise a portfolio of corporate clients on the full range of UK immigration matters, providing clear, practical and solution-focused guidance.
The Role:
- Take proactive ownership of a portfolio of clients, overseeing the end-to-end immigration process and ensuring a consistently high level of service.
- Ensure full compliance with UK immigration legislation, regulations and procedural requirements.
- Manage cases in a structured, proactive and highly accurate manner, maintaining strong attention to detail throughout.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring agreed service standards are consistently achieved.
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, providing clear, commercially focused immigration guidance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and the overall client experience.
- Take responsibility for engagement budgets, financial performance and profitability.
- Lead and oversee complex and high-profile/VIP immigration cases.
- Communicate confidently and effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Support and contribute to RFPs, tenders and other business development initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at client seminars, webinars and other industry events, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, supporting the growth of existing client relationships and developing new business.
- Help develop, mentor and lead a high-performing team of immigration specialists and associates.
- Drive robust risk-management and compliance checks for both new and existing clients.
The Person:
- UK-qualified lawyer with extensive knowledge of UK immigration law.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration legislation and practice.
- Knowledge or experience of international legal systems and EU legislation would be advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale, complex client programmes and portfolios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Highly analytical, commercially aware and detail-oriented, with the ability to assess priorities and manage competing demands effectively.
- Strong business judgement, strategic thinking, professional integrity and work ethic.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel when required.
- Strong client-service mindset with a focus on building long-term trusted relationships.
- Takes full ownership and accountability for decisions, actions and outcomes.
