Overview
HSE Recruitment is seeking an HSE Compliance Officer to join a recycling business in Nottingham, covering two local sites.
The role reports directly to a Director and offers full‑time employment with the autonomy to enhance processes and standards across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and standardise HSE processes across both sites.
- Implement cost‑effective solutions to operational challenges.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with staff and contractors.
- Manage site risks including working at height, machinery, large cranes with grabbers, lorries, workplace transport, contractor control and confined spaces.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Certificate (minimum).
- Experience in waste and recycling or manufacturing, or a similar risk profile.
- Knowledge of WAMITAB and EA permitting (desirable).
- Hands‑on, proactive, pragmatic approach.
- Working Hours & Compensation
Monday–Friday, 8am – 4pm. Salary ranges from £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
