Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a full-time, temp-to-perm role based in Northampton. The position offers weekly earnings between £800 and £1000 and provides an opportunity for a permanent placement after the assessment period.
Responsibilities
- Deliver goods to retail stores across the UK, typically 6–12 drops per day.
- Handle 90% of deliveries as caged “drop & go”. Occasional unloading inside stores may be required.
- Work nine to twelve hour shifts, starting between 04:00 and 08:00.
- Follow a five-on, three-off shift pattern.
- Complete a 4-hour driving assessment before starting work.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate: £16.68.
- Overtime rate: £21.83 for a sixth shift.
- Weekly earnings: £800 (based on a five-on schedule).

Qualifications
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driver licence with no more than 3 points.
