Pertemps Northampton seeks a Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) for full-time, multi-drop work based in Northampton. You will deliver palletised goods to retail stores, covering regional routes that extend to Lowestoft. Each shift includes up to eight store deliveries, requiring use of a tail lift and professional customer interaction.
Pay starts at £18.52 per hour for day shifts, rising to £27.78 for overtime, with a guaranteed minimum of eight hours’ pay per shift. Overtime is paid at 1.5x after eight hours, and weekend premiums apply for drivers working three or more days weekly. Annual pay reviews and consistent, long-term assignments are offered.
The Role:
- Multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods
- Up to 8 store deliveries per shift
- Using a tail lift to unload deliveries
- Placing pallets safely in designated delivery zones
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
Shifts Available:
We operate 7 days per week and have a range of shift patterns available. Priority will be given to drivers who can work at least one weekend day.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience (or 1 year retail delivery experience)
- No DD or DR convictions
- Ability to complete: 1-day driving assessment, 2-day paid induction
