Resident Manager in North East

Overview

Pertemps Newcastle is seeking a Resident Manager for student accommodation in Durham. This full-time, temporary position offers £12.71 per hour, with a rota covering 37.5 hours between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday, 7am – 7pm on a rota basis. Location: Durham. Assignment: Temporary ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance tasks
• Conduct room inspections
• Address student queries
• Maintain customer records and update the lettings database (CRM)
• Report Health & Safety issues to the General Manager for investigation and action
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, stakeholders, and statutory bodies
• Ensure the building is presented in a clean and tidy manner in line with Health & Safety regulations
• Receive and process payments from residents and monitor and chase rent arrears
• Ensure all statutory testing is completed on time and the property fully complies with relevant legislation
• Identify opportunities to add value to the site and the services it delivers
• Assess and organise prompt completion of repairs using in-house staff and external contractors

Requirements / Qualifications

• Key holding experience is required or may be needed to be on site to take over from the night porter
• Able to work alone
• Experience maintaining customer data and using a lettings CRM
• Ability to report and document findings accurately
• Strong relationship-building skills with local businesses, stakeholders, and statutory bodies
• Attention to health and safety and compliance with relevant legislation
