Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties
- Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic
- Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures
- Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Complying with all food hygiene and health and safety procedures
About You:
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Well organised with good communication skills
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Experienced in a kitchen or catering environment
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant or Chef Assistant is highly desirable.
An Enhanced DBS certificate is desirable but not essential. A Food Safety Certificate is also beneficial, although training may be available for the right candidate.
