Manpower UK is seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers for a permanent position based in Newbridge, near Edinburgh. The hourly salary ranges from £14.50 to £21.75.
Hours: dayshift Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
- Ensure Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned.
- Check load security and weight distribution according to the latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained to company standards and report any defects.
- Perform daily safety checks to confirm vehicles are in safe condition before use and operate vehicles safely throughout each shift.
- Maintain proof of delivery documentation and record any incidents or defects.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 or HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points. (HGV Class 2 necessary for this role.)
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of Working Time Directive.
- Experience with multi-drop routes.
- Experience working with steel deliveries.
