An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced NDT Inspector to join an established business. We are looking for an experienced NDT Technician / NDT Inspector with strong practical experience in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI/PT). With a 17% shift allowance on top of the basic salary, this role offers an overall earning package of £33,930 - £37,440 per annum, depending on experience.
The Role
- Carrying out Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Performing Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI / PT)
- Inspecting components for surface and near-surface defects
- Interpreting inspection results and identifying defects
- Working to engineering drawings, specifications and inspection procedures
- Completing accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances
- Ensuring inspection equipment is correctly used and maintained
- Working closely with production and quality teams
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and traceability
About You
- Previous experience as an NDT Inspector, NDT Technician or NDT Engineer
- Practical experience carrying out MPI / Magnetic Particle Inspection
- Experience with Dye Penetrant Testing / Penetrant Testing (DPI/PT)
- Relevant NDT Level 2 qualifications in MPI and Dye Penetrant
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or metalworking environment
- Good understanding of NDT procedures and inspection techniques
- Ability to accurately interpret inspection results
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Good understanding of quality standards and inspection documentation
