Senior Plugging and Abandonment (PandA) Engineer - Mold
The Senior Plugging and Abandonment (PandA) Engineer position, based in Mold, is a contract role based on a daily rate between £350 and £800. The role involves reviewing historical well documentation for a North Sea platform, its subsea tiebacks, and legacy exploration and abandonment wells. You will interpret drilling reports and other records, assessing the significance of past events on future abandonment plans.
Your duties include producing a Well Engineering Summary Pack containing Well Status Diagrams and summary tables. Working patterns are flexible, though regular attendance at the Mold office is expected.

Responsibilities
- Interpret drilling reports and other well records with understanding of the potential implications of significant events.
- Understand relevance of subsurface data design inputs, general abandonment design philosophy and UK industry guidelines.
- Generate basic but clear Well Status Diagrams in Excel, with emphasis on demonstrating barrier quality.
- Assess leak risk for each barrier based on historic data.
- Relate abandonment designs and quality to field wide wellbore penetration plumbing diagram and potential impacts on subsurface assumptions for crossflow.
Qualifications
- Over three years of North Sea experience.
- Firm grasp of platform, subsea, and subsurface terminology.
- Familiarity with UK industry guidelines and abandonment design principles.
- Experience as Well Abandonment or Senior PandA Well Engineer, ideally with North Sea exposure.
