Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Pipefitter in Govan 4 days onsite per week. Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security? Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Pipefitter to add to their talented, hardworking team in Govan on a 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.
Salary: 20.10 + £8.00 travel allowance PAYE non local; £26.89 + £10.47 travel allowance UMB non local; Local rates apply without additional travel allowance.
Responsibilities:
- Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities.
- Installing utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers and toilets.
- Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes.
- A deep understanding of all domestic plumbing within a ship environment, removal and installation.
- The ability to weld (TIG, MMA) would be beneficial but not essential, as would be the ability to work with and install composite pipework.
- Work on complex, cutting-edge projects.
- Achieve a work/life balance.
