A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to join a major transmission infrastructure programme, initially supporting SSEN projects before moving onto SPEN frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning activities on HV/EHV substations (132kV-400kV)
- Carry out protection, control and SCADA testing
- Develop commissioning procedures and test documentation
- Support energisation, handover and project delivery
- Ensure compliance with SSEN/SPEN safety standards
Requirements:
- SSEN or SPEN Authorisation
- SSE Cat 1 & Cat 3 Authorisation
- Proven HV/EHV substation commissioning experience
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems and SCADA
- Experience working under UK DNO/TSO safety rules
