Network IT is recruiting for the role of Head of IT Service Management for a client in Milton Keynes on a six‑month initial contract. This is an SC Cleared position (active clearance not required but preferred) and is located in Milton Keynes with a working practice of 3 days onsite/2 days remote.
The contractor will work within an ITIL‑focused ITSM function and will be responsible for strategic leadership, overseeing service delivery, continual improvement, stakeholder engagement, customer satisfaction, developing and leading a team of service management professionals, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, meet agreed performance targets, and evolve in line with business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for IT Service Management.
- Oversee service delivery, continual improvement, stakeholder engagement, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of service management professionals.
- Ensure services are delivered efficiently and meet agreed performance targets.
- Evolve services in line with business and customer requirements.
Key Skills
- A demonstrable background of working in ITSM Management or Leadership within complex service delivery environments.
- Experience of leading teams, including Service Delivery Managers.
- Knowledge of working with service management tooling, specifically ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of setting up SLAs / OLAs.
- ITIL4 Managing Professional, or ITIL V3 Expert with ITIL4 Foundation certification.
- Evidence of delivering services to standards such as ISO 9001 / ISO 20000‑1.
- Experience setting up ITSM strategy and change management within an established ITSM function.
- Strong background in engaging with vendors, suppliers, and third parties.
- Eligibility for or already having an SC Clearance.
