A Media and Entertainment Lawyer (Partner) is sought by a national law firm to join its Birmingham City Centre office. This full-time role, offering hybrid working, is ideal for a Senior Associate, Legal Director, or Partner with a client base in film, television, music, or digital content. The successful candidate will develop a specialist practice within a team that advises producers and production companies across the creative industries. The salary is highly competitive and the role provides a platform to raise your professional profile and shape the firm's Media & Entertainment offering.
Location: Flexible Hybrid Working / Birmingham City Centre
Responsibilities:
- Develop a specialist Media & Entertainment practice within a national firm, working alongside lawyers who already advise an impressive client base across the creative industries.
- Advise producers, production companies, actors, presenters, content creators, influencers, studios, promoters and related businesses across the entertainment sector on commercial contracts, intellectual property, licensing, production agreements, financing, regulatory issues, employment, disputes and wider business advisory work.
- Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development to grow the practice.
- Collaborate with the national practice to support client needs and help shape the future direction of the practice.
Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer with senior experience in media and entertainment, with a client following or demonstrable track record advising clients within the media and entertainment industries.
- Commercially minded, with ability to develop business and drive growth of the practice.
- Strong sector expertise in film, television, music, or digital content is desirable.
- Willingness to lead, innovate and build a successful practice within a national firm.
