I have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well established and very successful business based in Pontefract. Role Responsibilities: Produce detailed 3D design packages and fabrication/manufacturing detailed drawings. Ensure that the areas of works are completed in accordance with contract specifications. Plan, perform, monitor, and report on assigned tasks and deliverables. Provide updates to stakeholders on tasks assigned. Participate in cost reduction. Using SolidWorks, utilising parts and assemblies. Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure manufacturing quality and compliance. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and site activities. Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of design processes and templates. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards. Maintain accurate design records and contribute to document control and version management. Role Requirements: Previous experience within the industry or similar industries i.e., Mechanical, Fabrication, Power Generation O&G, Energy and Electrical. Comfortable working on several projects simultaneously, to schedules in a fast-paced environment. Experience in sheet metal/structural engineering. Produce bill of materials. Adhering to quality procedures. Apprenticeship trained or HNC Mechanical Engineering (or other Engineering discipline). Familiar with 3D CAD Packages, preferably SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
