Are you an expert with SCADA systems and data acquisition, with a background in energy/renewables? If so, this may be the role for you! I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join an EPC on two UK solar farms as a specialist SCADA engineer, where you will act as an expert on SCADA and data acquisition as the sites are due to enter construction. Office space is based in Manchester, however you will primarily work between home and visits to the two sites, one in North East England and the other in South Wales.

Role responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical expert on SCADA and data acquisition, along with wider EMS, BESS etc integration
  • Develop standards and functional specifications for SCADA, EMS, IT/OT and cybersecurity and their wider integration
  • Maintain a presence on site for FAT/SAT/commissioning activities when required
  • Liaise with other engineering areas to deliver projects efficiently and on time

Experience:

  • A demonstrable background in SCADA, data acquisition, and wider controls/OT systems
  • Previous experience working in solar is preferable, however exposure to other energy/renewables projects will be considered
  • University degree in automation, electrical/electronic engineering, power or similar is preferred
