IT Service Transition Manager – Manchester
The IT Service Transition Manager position in Manchester is a permanent role offering a salary between £59,000 and £60,700. This hybrid working arrangement requires a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Contract Information
Service Transition Lead | 24 Month Fixed Term Contract | Hybrid / Manchester (min 2 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end service transition activities across multiple Enterprise level projects.
- Assess service readiness and manage Service Acceptance.
- Chair Go‑Live Readiness meetings and coordinate successful handovers.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Service Owners and operational teams.
- Identify and manage transition risks, issues and dependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement across Service Transition processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Solid experience in IT Service Transition, NOT just BAU IT Service Management or IT Project Delivery.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL (be certified) and ITSM best practice.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex transitions across multiple teams.
- PRINCE2, Agile or experience within a large or regulated organisation.
