The Role

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, contributing to design work from concept through to construction. The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams while taking responsibility for producing high quality engineering designs and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver civil engineering designs for small to medium sized infrastructure and building projects
  • Produce designs in line with current UK standards, regulations, and best practice
  • Design drainage systems, external works, utilities, roads, and car parks
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary design teams
  • Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and technical procedures
  • Work in line with BIM standards and digital engineering practices
  • Support project delivery through practical and innovative engineering solutions

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Civil Engineering
  • Strong drainage design experience
  • Experience using InfoDrainage or Flow software
  • Roads and car park design experience
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Experience working on building related projects rather than highways or large infrastructure schemes
  • Good understanding of UK design standards and regulations
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
  • Working towards or already achieved ICE Chartership
  • Experience with utilities, earthworks, access roads, and construction logistics
  • Revit/BIM 360 experience
  • Experience obtaining statutory approvals
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • SC Clearance eligibility
  • Full UK Driving Licence
