Teach South Kent is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Maidstone on a maternity cover basis. The Role
As an Art Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons across the secondary age range.
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.
- Support students in developing their artistic skills, confidence and individual creativity.
- Teach a broad range of artistic techniques, processes and disciplines.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and the Art department.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Has QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting.
- Is passionate about Art and committed to helping young people develop their creativity.
- Has high expectations of students and themselves.
- Can plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Is adaptable, enthusiastic and able to make a positive contribution from the outset.
