Position Overview
Temporary part‑time Retail Assistant – Kew (Richmond upon Thames).
Pay: £14.24 per hour plus holiday pay.
Hours: 17.5 per week on a rota basis, including weekends.
Start date: Immediate.
Duration: Until 31 October 2026.
Location: Kew – on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional service standards when interacting with customers and volunteers.
- Implement systems to appropriately organise and price donations.
- Effectively replenish shop and keep the shop floor at a high standard.
- Process sales, including handling cash and card transactions.
- Serve as reliable point of contact for the volunteer team.
- Manage rotas and ensure shifts are covered.
- Support the Store Manager with required administration tasks.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude that motivates the team.
- Experience working in a retail environment.
- Experience with stock control and cash handling.
- A valid DBS check is required.
