Initial 12 Month Contract
4 day working week (Mon-Thurs)
3 days per week on site - 1 day working from home
Location: Glascoed, Monmouthshire
Rate: £53.90 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)
The Role
- Production of documentary evidence to support the production of a Safety and Environmental Case (SEC).
- Creating and maintaining product Hazard Logs.
- Contributing to the business requirement to deliver conforming product.
- Undertaking safety reviews of engineering designs to ensure compliance with the Product Safety and Environment Management Framework, business policies, procedures and associated management plans.
- Provide support and advice to the Design Organisation on matters relating to product safety for projects and bids.
- Undertaking a range of techniques for conducting Hazard Identification, Analysis and Risk Assessment, for example FMEAs, FTAs.
The Candidate
- Deriving and setting safety criteria and requirements using UK MOD defence standards such as: Def Stan 00-056, Def Stan 00-51, Def Stan 07-085 or DSA 03.OME (formerly JSP 520).
- Proven track record of producing technical engineering reports including compelling ALARP and safety arguments.
