Key Duties
- Deliver train components, rail equipment, and engineering materials to depots and work sites
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Secure loads using ratchet straps, chains, edge protectors, and other load restraint equipment
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant before every journey
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and compliance
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence held for at least 1 year
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Proven experience securing heavy loads using straps and chains
- Strong understanding of load restraint regulations and transport safety
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible approach to day and night shifts
