Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator Operator for telecoms civils work based in Livingston. This full-time role pays £18.50 per hour, with ad-hoc or ongoing contracts available.

Duties include:

  • Excavating for cabinet and monopole foundations
  • Installing ducts and diversions
  • Constructing draw pits and chambers
  • Preparing concrete foundations
  • Performing backfilling

The position requires safe working around live underground services and supporting groundworkers.

  • Excavation for telecoms cabinet and monopole foundations

  • Installation of draw pits and chambers
  • Shuttering and formwork
  • Concrete foundation preparation and backfilling
  • Working safely around live underground services

Essential requirements:

  • CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator Operator qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Previous experience within civil engineering and utility/telecoms works
  • Ability to work from construction drawings and site instructions
  • Good understanding of safe excavation practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional approach

Desirable (not essential):

  • NRSWA Operative qualification
  • CAT & Genny training
  • Experience working on Ericsson, MBNL, EE, Vodafone, or Openreach projects
  • Additional training will be provided where required.

Initially, these positions will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, with the potential for regular ongoing work for the right candidates as projects continue to expand across Scotland.
