Responsibilities include safely operating a Class 2 vehicle to deliver, exchange, and collect skips from commercial and domestic clients; performing daily safety inspections, reporting defects, and ensuring timely collections; and maintaining precise records of all deliveries.
About the Role
We are recruiting six experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Drivers to join a busy waste management and recycling operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking stable, long‑term employment with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and regular overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 skip vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Deliver, exchange, and collect skips from commercial and domestic customers.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all collections and deliveries are carried out on time.
- Maintain accurate delivery and collection records.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Comply with all transport legislation and health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the transport team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- Valid UK CategoryC (Class2) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Previous skip driving experience preferred.
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
- Reliable and professional attitude.
- Strong focus on safety and customer service.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00. Overtime available. Optional Saturday shifts available.
