This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a supportive team and take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients.

The role offers a balance of audit, accounts and client-facing work, with excellent opportunities to develop your technical and commercial skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Planning and carrying out audit assignments from start to finish.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.
  • Preparing management accounts and other financial information where required.
  • Completing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Assisting with personal tax returns and other compliance work.
  • Reviewing accounts and audit work prepared by more junior team members.
  • Providing support and guidance to junior colleagues.
  • Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
  • Identifying and communicating issues or opportunities to clients and senior colleagues.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (at least 2 years).
  • Strong audit and accounts experience.
  • Experience preparing accounts for a variety of businesses and sectors.
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards a relevant qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, professional and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
