This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK\’s leading Defence organisations based In Samlesbury.
We have great opportunities for Logistics Planners to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects. Join us and you will be working alongside other teams to deliver products that will be in service for 40+ years and be continually upgraded to maintain Customers Defence capabilities.
As a Logistics Planner / Equipment Management Planner , you could be conducting planning activities across a wide range of products covering the production lifecycle of minor and major assemblies and delivery to customers. These tasks could range from assembly scheduling, load smoothing, progress monitoring and order book management.
Experience required:
- Experience within a logistics planning and/or supply chain role and awareness of procedures and processes, including an awareness & understanding of Export Control
- IT proficient, including the use of MS software such as outlook and excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and work well with a number of cross functional stakeholders
- Experience within a Manufacturing and supply chain environment and an awareness of governance within a such environments
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Working knowledge of EMS (our Typhoon SPEC Tracking system)
- Ability to contribute to problem solving activities for the development of short and long term solutions to day to day problems
- Applicants ideally will hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards professional accreditation and qualification

The successful applicant should be adaptable & relish working in a challenging & changing environment.
We are looking for someone who is at ease working in different business areas, and is capable of working both on their own and within a team on a variety of tasks.
Good communication skills are required as the successful applicant will be dealing with a wide spread of stakeholders & individuals across different functions.
