The Neighbourhood Partnership Specialist in Liverpool will build and maintain strong collaborations with local organisations, residents, and stakeholders to improve community outcomes. This full‑time role offers a salary of £37,250 and requires excellent relationship management skills, a proactive approach to partnership development, and the ability to engage diverse groups.
About the Role
We are seeking a specialist to join our Neighbourhoods team in the Merseyside/Wirral area on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to deliver face‑to‑face customer services and housing support in our neighbourhoods, providing support to customers, delivering social impact and tenancy management services, and ensuring high‑quality customer service through collaboration with colleagues and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Impact: Identify and contribute to social impact opportunities within the neighbourhood and across the region, support delivery of neighbourhood improvements, and develop strong connections with partners, organisations and community groups doing positive work.
- Tenancy Management: Provide a comprehensive tenancy management service, including letting homes to minimise rent loss, conduct estate inspections with partners and customers to identify improvements, and manage service charges effectively.
- Tenancy Sustainment: Manage tenancies at risk of failure, support customers to adhere to tenancy terms, provide referrals to external and internal support pathways, and work closely with statutory services.
- Customer Service and Voice: Deliver high‑quality customer service, develop positive relationships in line with the Onward+ approach, and listen to, hear and act on customers’ voice.
- Neighbourhood Plus: Collaborate effectively with colleagues from other teams and departments to help deliver neighbourhood initiatives linked to the Onward Difference.
- Partnership Working: Contribute to excellent external partnership work, be an ambassador for the organisation and an advocate for customers.
- Professional Curiosity: Take a proactive approach to safeguarding and vulnerabilities, make reasonable adjustments, and effectively log customer contact details.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and awareness of related housing regulations/law.
- Experience of delivering face‑to‑face customer service.
- Experience of developing partnership working with support agencies, local authorities and community groups.
- Engage and work with complex and challenging caseloads or individuals.
- Good understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.
- Competent IT skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to support external funding bids as required.
- Experience of delivering on‑site projects and improvements.
Qualifications
- Essential: Educated to a GCSE standard or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Desirable: Relevant professional qualification, e.g. CIH.
