Are you an HV Plant Engineer with extensive experience reviewing and approving designs for DNO projects? If so, please read on...

Essential Skillset:

  • 10+ years experience in HV Plant Engineering within Transmission & Distribution projects
  • Experience working on 132kV, 275kV and 400kV transmission projects
  • Strong understanding of substations, transformers, switchgear and associated HV infrastructure
  • Proven experience reviewing, assessing and approving contractor design submissions
  • Experience working to DNO engineering standards
  • Proven experience in leading design review meetings and providing technical ownership on project delivery
  • Proven experience in being the primary technical point of contact for HV Plant design
  • Experience in supporting HAZID and engineering risk assessments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with clients, contractors and project teams

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards professional registration
  • Experience producing, reviewing and approving designs for National Grid projects
  • Currently hold or previously held National Grid TP141 Design Assurance Engineer authorisation
  • Currently hold or previously held National Grid BP137 Contractor Design Approval Engineer
