V06660 - Principal Engineer - Mechanical Engineering (Platform Systems) Coventry 2-3 Days onsite per week £43.00ph PAYE £57.97 UMB Inside IR35 The role: The Principal Engineer- Mechanical Engineering (Platform Systems) shall provide engineering support to the local Team Lead and Engineering Manager to enable progression of Platform systems to the next design gateway review. Tasks: - Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones. - Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme - Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities. - Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including: diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications - Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority Skills: - Demonstrable experience in the delivery of mechanical systems through the engineering lifecycle. - Comprehensive experience of applying technical expertise across the full engineering lifecycle. - In-depth knowledge and experience specifying mechanical equipment and components (preferably in the field of diesel generators and their associated systems) Qualifications: * BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a relevant STEM degree (expected) * CEng or capable of achieving CEng (preferred) APPLY NOW If this sounds like the role for you, we'd love to hear from you!
