You will support managers with practical advice, handle employee relations, and contribute to shaping workplace practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for all HR matters across the business
- Supporting managers with day-to-day HR queries and providing clear, practical guidance
- Managing employee relations cases including absence, performance, disciplinaries and grievances
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, vetting and probation processes
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Making sure everything is in line with current employment legislation
- Line managing and supporting an HR Administrator
- Keeping HR records accurate and supporting with reporting where needed
What we’re looking for in an HR Manager:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at Advisor or Manager level
- Some experience of managing or mentoring others would be useful
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment such as manufacturing or similar
- CIPD qualification would be helpful but isn’t essential
- Confident supporting and advising managers in a clear, down-to-earth way
- Organised, approachable and happy to take ownership of your workload
