As a Class 1 HGV Driver / Shunter (C+E) you will join a leading global logistics company on a temporary‑to‑permanent contract.
The role involves shunting trailers and completing driving duties across the site.
- Pay & Hours
- Hourly pay: £15.91
- Shift allowance: £116.57 weekly for afternoon shift
- Overtime after 38 hours: £19.12 per hour
- Shifts: Monday‑Thursday 2:30p. m.‑10:30p. m.; Friday 1:45p. m.‑8:30p. m.
- Location: Ferrybridge
- Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 12 months
- Previous shunting or yard driving experience
- Maximum 6 licence points
- No DD or DR endorsements
- Positive attitude and team‑player mentality
- Flexibility to cover alternative shifts when required
Responsibilities
- Shunt trailers safely around the yard
- Ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading and dispatch
- Assist with load strapping and securing when required
- Work closely with the site team to keep operations running efficiently
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations
