I'm looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading defence organisation based in Rochester. This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact engineering programmes within the defence, aerospace, and security sectors.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in understanding and translating complex customer needs into structured, multi-level system requirements. You will lead the development of sophisticated system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and support the integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems.
You will also contribute to the development of team capability through coaching and mentoring, while driving improvements in engineering practices through the adoption of modern methodologies such as Agile and 'Learn First' approaches.
- Support integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems across electronic, mechanical, optical, and software domains
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to other engineers
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
You will join a Systems Engineering function delivering products across a diverse portfolio of commercial and military platforms, including advanced display technologies and safety-critical control systems. Engineers are encouraged to broaden their experience across multiple domains, with opportunities to develop as subject matter experts in specific product areas or systems engineering disciplines.
