The Cleaner role based in Kendal involves maintaining high hygiene standards across healthcare and commercial environments. This temporary position runs from 30June to 2September2026 with typical shifts between 9:00AM and 5:00PM.
Job Responsibilities
- General cleaning of healthcare and commercial environments
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Cleaning washrooms, staff areas, and communal spaces
- Emptying bins and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Following site‑specific cleaning procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned to a professional standard
Shift Information
Ongoing work available from 30June2026 to 2September2026. Typical shift times: 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Shifts available throughout the week; however, work is not guaranteed every day and schedules may vary based on client requirements. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities may be available. Flexible working patterns depend on site needs.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (weekly pay). Holiday pay accrued.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Standard DBS certificate required
- Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards is advantageous
