Pertemps North Midlands seeks a Class 1 HGV Driver (Days) for long-term trunking work from Kegworth, based at East Midlands Gateway. Operating Monday to Friday, the successful candidate will transport goods between company sites, NDCs and RDCs, with no handball involved. Applicants need a valid Class 1 licence held for at least six months, plus current tacho and DQC cards. A positive, can-do approach is essential. Hourly pay ranges from £16.95 to £25.43, with daily overtime rates. This full-time position begins as temporary but may become permanent. Reliable drivers seeking steady, clean work should apply. Class 1 HGV Driver Pertemps have long term stable work for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway where they pay daily OT rates. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's. This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.
Shift Patterns / Working Hours
- Days - Monday to Friday
The successful Class 1 Driver will:
- Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
- Have a valid tacho and DQC card
- Have a positive can do attitude
Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:
- Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
- Trailer swaps and backloads
You will receive:
- Days - £16.95 per hour
- Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - £25.43 per hour
- 6th Shift - £25.43 per hour
