The IBF Inspection Operative role in Ashford involves managing trailer off-loading, preparation for checks, and reloading at the Sevington site.

Full-time hours follow a Monday-to-Friday rota, with early (06:00-14:00) or late (14:00-22:00) shifts available.

Pay ranges from £13.45 to £22.20 per hour for overtime.

Duties include loading and unloading lorries with roller cages and other equipment, completing manual and electronic reports, and updating the PINC Yard Management System after training.

Operatives take direction from on-site partners to support inspection workflows.

Prior warehouse or logistics experience is beneficial, though full instruction is provided.

This permanent, ongoing contract suits those comfortable with physical handling and routine data entry.

We are currently recruiting talented Inspection Warehouse Operatives to join our team at the IBF site in Sevington, Ashford.

Full-time on-going work Monday-Friday rota, both 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 available.

Rates of pay from £13.45 up to £22.20 overtime rate.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load from trailers to presentation for inspection and reload on to trailers.
  • Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
  • Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
  • Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
  • Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
  • Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
  • Maintain the inspection environment following training
  • COSHH Awareness following training
  • Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
  • Champion a health and safety culture
  • The ideal candidate will have
  • Logistics experience in a large fast-moving environment
  • Strong warehouse system experience
  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
  • Experience of working to agreed targets
  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e. g. picking, loading
  • Conditions
  • Shift patterns will be Monday to Friday
  • Weekly or monthly pay available
  • Day shift £13.45ph
  • Night shift £14.80ph
  • Overtime paid at time and a half
  • To be eligible you need
  • NO unspent convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS check)
  • Ability to provide 3 years referencing contacts and have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
