Are you a Senior Authorised Person looking for your next contract? Have you got experience working with a variety of DNOs? If so, please read on...
Core duties include:
- Full SAP responsibilities (not just switching), including:
- HV switching, isolations, earthing, LOTO
- Permits to Work / Sanctions for Test
- Safety from the system (incl. SF6 GIS)
- Review/approval of RAMS, switching programmes, energisation plans
- Coordination with DNO/ICP, EPC and commissioning teams
- Grid connection testing (SCADA coordination) and G99 compliance
- HV troubleshooting (relays, switchgear, protection systems)
Essential requirements:
- 33 kV SAP authorisation (mandatory) with recognised HV switching competency
- Proven experience under UK HV Safety Rules
- Authorised by / acceptable to relevant DNOs (e.g. Northern Powergrid, UK Power Networks, National Grid ESO) and able to operate under DNO/ICP/site rules
- CSCS/ECS, HV medical, HVSAP, First Aid
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015
Desirable (not essential) requirements:
- 66 kV / 132 kV authorisations
- AP15 / Authorised Person (HV)
- IOSH qualification
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- NEBOSH
- OEM/GIS (SF6) training
- Strong fault-finding and experience with complex/staged energisation (Solar + BESS)
