Location: Portsmouth

Rate: £26.89 per hour (Local) OR £37.75 per hour (Non-Local) Umbrella - Inside IR35

Contract Length: 12 months

We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Fitters to join one of the UK's leading defence organisations based in Portsmouth.

The role will involve:

  • Installing a wide range of cabling, including multi-core, single-core and coaxial cables
  • Fitting and assembling electrical equipment such as junction boxes, fuse boards, consoles, transformers and switches
  • Carrying out fault finding and diagnostics using electrical schematics
  • Testing systems with multi-meters and insulation resistance testers

What we're looking for:

  • A completed apprenticeship with final certification
  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical installation drawings
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at height
  • Relevant safety qualifications (SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height, etc.)
  • Previous experience within marine, oil & gas, heavy construction, or manufacturing environments
