Contract Length: 12 months
We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Fitters to join one of the UK's leading defence organisations based in Portsmouth.
The role will involve:
- Installing a wide range of cabling, including multi-core, single-core and coaxial cables
- Fitting and assembling electrical equipment such as junction boxes, fuse boards, consoles, transformers and switches
- Carrying out fault finding and diagnostics using electrical schematics
- Testing systems with multi-meters and insulation resistance testers
What we're looking for:
- A completed apprenticeship with final certification
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical installation drawings
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at height
- Relevant safety qualifications (SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height, etc.)
- Previous experience within marine, oil & gas, heavy construction, or manufacturing environments
