Teach South seeks a Humanities Teacher for supply work in Hastings and nearby schools, starting September 2026. This contract offers flexible, temporary hours, with daily pay of £130-£180 or scale pay for longer assignments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching History, Geography, RE, or related subjects across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering lessons that engage students and prepare them for GCSE
  • Following existing schemes of work
  • Planning lessons for longer-term roles
  • Assessing student progress
  • Managing classroom behaviour
  • Supporting students of varying abilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or relevant teaching experience
  • Secondary teaching experience in a Humanities subject
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Good classroom management
  • A passion for their subject
  • The ability to engage and motivate young people
  • A flexible and professional approach
