HGV Driver

This role is for an HGV Driver based in Robertsbridge, offering a full-time, temporary contract with potential for permanent employment. The position pays £47,000 per annum and operates Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 06:00, with no weekend work required.

As a Class 1 night driver, you will complete consistent trunking runs, building confidence and practical skills behind the wheel. The client supports newly qualified CE drivers in developing their career within a reputable logistics operation. This role suits those seeking straightforward, reliable night work.

The Role

• As a CE Driver, you will play a key role in the night operation, completing a trunking run involving 1 drop and swap per shift.
• Working as a Class 1 Driver within the night team, this role offers a simple and structured workload, making it perfect for newly qualified drivers looking to gain real-world experience.
• This position provides a supportive environment where you can build confidence and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating as a HGV 1 Driver completing trunking work (1 drop / swap)
• Conducting safe and efficient runs between depots
• Ensuring timely deliveries and collections
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Working closely with the transport team to support smooth night operations
• Adhering to all driving, working time, and safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C&E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good awareness of health & safety standards
