HGV Class 2 ADR Driver

Location: Wembley

Company: BOC Gases – the largest provider of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK and Ireland.

Salary: £46,123 per annum

Employment type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles safely, strictly adhering to full ADR regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Complete scheduled multi‑drop deliveries and collections to commercial, retail, or industrial premises.
  • Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, reporting any defects immediately to the transport office.
  • Securely fasten all cargo, including manual handling of gas cylinders or specialised waste containers.
  • Maintain exact tachograph records, delivery notes and all required dangerous goods paperwork.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
  • Current, in‑date Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Valid ADR card (minimum Class 2 Gases in Packages).
  • Ideally 3years licence held with 180 days driving experience in the past 2 years.
  • Maximum of 3 penalty points; no active CU80, MS90, CD, DR, DD, IN, or TT endorsements (insurance restrictions).
  • Willingness to undertake a driving assessment, DBS criminal records check and Drug & Alcohol test.

  • Ongoing driver training and courses that count toward CPC modules.
