Pertemps Northampton seeks an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver for full-time, temp-to-perm employment in Burton Latimer.

This position pays £17.95 per hour, equating to roughly £42,000 annually, plus a night out allowance.

We are currently recruiting for a dependable and motivated HGV1 Tramper to join a premier logistics operation based in Burton Latimer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role with a well-established company that values its drivers.

The working pattern covers Monday to Friday, involving approximately 45 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operating a Class 1 vehicle for long-distance deliveries.
  • Tramp duties, including staying away from home throughout the working week.
  • Conducting thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintaining accurate tachograph records and adhering to all EU Driver Hour regulations.
  • Acting as a professional brand ambassador for the company at all delivery points.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Licence: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Qualifications: Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
  • Experience: While experienced drivers are preferred, newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply—we value attitude and safety over years on the road.
  • Compliance: Maximum of 6 points for minor offences (No DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements).
  • Commitment: Must be available for a 6:00 AM start on Monday and comfortable with a 2-day paid driving assessment.
